Fairytales really do come true

The Royal Wedding. One word = AMAZING. I honestly felt like I was in a movie during the post wedding procession back to the Palace. It was speechless being so close to everything! We had great timing and ended up getting front row seats right next to the Horses Guard.
Ta da! The Horses Guard. The procession went through the middle arch going and coming from the wedding, it was great and we could see everything!!
Just some fun things I loved about the wedding were:
1. I have never seen so many nice cars in my entire life.. WOW! The Royal Family certainly has good taste in cars.
2. The hats were so lovely. I have never been a hat person, but I would love to get a big fancy hat now just for fun. There were so many cool hats!
3. The British people we stood by were so nice and super fun to spend 7 hours with. There was one lady who was hilarious and was just as excited as us, we got along great!
4. The Horses. They were beautiful and huge and I was in love with them. The procession had more horses than you could possibly dream of and all of them were gorgeous! It made me want to run over to the ranch and go riding!!!
5. Prince Harry waved at me. It was a fantastic moment
6. I got to see the Queen. She is the cutest old lady and I absolutely loved her yellow dress suit. So classy and great.
7. "Baby police" There was a policemen that honestly looked like he was 15, really. He was stationed right in front of us and well when you combine no sleep with an extremely high excitement for the royal wedding and four girls you are bound to get a lot of laughing and who knows what else. The policeman thought we were quite funny, as did we.
8. The amount of people that came out to watch the wedding either on the parade route, at the abbey, or at the parks was phenomenal. 300,000 people alone watched it at Hyde park and that was just one of the places it was being shown.
9. Kate Middleton is beautiful and she looked gorgeous in her dress! It was so awesome to see her so close!
10. Getting excited about my own wedding. Listening to the wedding ceremony I just had such an overwhelming thankfulness that I get to be sealed in a temple. I cannot express how grateful I am that the phrase " Till death do us part" is not going to be a part of my wedding or my marriage. The gospel is amazing and I cannot think of anything better than eternal families!!

Aww. There are so many things I loved about the wedding I wish I could write them all down!
Here are some pictures instead! Some of them aren't mine, but they are from the wedding!!

Oh to be a princess!

Well I made it to London! So far, I love absolutely everything about it. The internet in the center isn't the best, but it works so I thought i would drop a little post. This morning we got up at 4:30 and go ready and headed out the door around 5:15 to catch the tube over to the royal wedding. After a lot of trying to figure out where we were going to go to get a good seat we happened to have the most wonderful timing ever and ended up front and center at the Royal Horse's Guard. Let's just say it was AMAZING! We saw everyone go to the wedding and everyone come back. Plus, Prince Henry and I totally had a moment. Yep, that's right! I waved at him and he looked right at me and waved back, it was glorious. We met lots of friendly brits and had the most fantastic time ever! I am off to bed, because let's face it - I am exhausted after getting up at 4:30 and watching royalty all day. P.S I have never seen so many nice cars in my life or black horses. Holy Cow! I'll post again soon and hopefully get some pictures up!!

London Calling

Well the last week has been a blur, but I am finally here!! Well almost... I am siting in the Portland airport waiting for my flight. I am so excited to get in the air and on my way and now that my bag is checked and I'm pretty sure I have everything I need my stress is practically gone and not only can I breathe again, but I am SO EXCITED FOR LONDON!! My sister drove me to the airport this morning and she studied in England for a year and so she was telling me all about the fun things she did and places to go and let's just say now I can hardly contain my excitement! In one hour I will board my plane and head to Chicago --- EEKS! I will make sure to blog every once in a while when I have the time. I won't have my phone so if you want to know anything about me and London you'll have to get on here and check it out!!

Sunday Gratitude

Ahh! Another week has come and gone and I am now entering my last week in Provo until August and well when I come back I will be MARRIED!!! The semester has flown by and by Wednesday I will be all done with my finals and halfway moved out of my apartment. So with the semester coming to a close I have a lot to be grateful for !
A great job that is very flexible and allows me to do everything I need to do and still get in all my hours!
Homemade food!! It always taste so much better than packaged store food!!
That I get to see my mom in 4 days!
For wonderful friends who let me store my things there over the summer. It is such a relief to not have to take everything I own back to Oregon, just to take it back to Provo in the fall.
SPRING!! The weather today in Provo was beautiful and it felt so good to be outside!!
Easter is next weekend and I get to spend it with my family in Oregon
London is a week away and I am so excited to start my adventures there
That I was so lucky and had awesome roommates this year, I am going to miss them!!
That I finally realized how awesome naps were and that I get to take them every Sunday.
For my fiance, he's the best!
The beautiful bouquet of roses on my table right now.

And here a few sneak peaks of our engagement photos! The first two are Ethan Watts Photography and the others are Shadetree photography!!

Lessons of Love

Attending BYU,  a private church university I have the opportunity to take classes that are duel in nature. That is they have components of both secular academic principles and facts and spiritual matters. Some of you may not think that that is very cool, but I absolutely love it. Being a member of the LDS church I love taking classes that help me grow academically and spiritually. This semester I have had some wonderful classes as well as some I'm not really a fan of. My sociology class falls in the middle. I have learned some really interesting things, but it's well.. it's just an interesting class. Today however on the last day of class I received a great lesson in love and charity that I did not expect to get. The class is focused on social inequality and our professor asked us to bring in a scripture about inequality and share it with the class. There are 8 or 9 of us in the class so we have group discussion a lot. I didn't think a whole lot about it, but brought my scripture to class with me and the intent to come up with some commentary on it that would give me the participation points I needed for the day. To my surprise, we had one of the most wonderful discussions about the gospel and examples of dissolving inequality in the scriptures. Some great scriptures were shared that solidified everything we had talked about in class throughout the semester and I had to chastise myself for not seeing the deeper meaning in what I had been learning. It reminded me in the midst of crazy classes and the starting of finals just how much I really love being at this university. I am so grateful that we can say prayers in our classes and that we can read our scriptures and discuss how spiritual things apply to our secular learning. It is a wonderful thing and I am so incredibly thankful that I have the opportunity to attend BYU.

Done!

Day 26 = A picture of something that means a lot to me.
My family! This photo is missing a lot of people, but holidays with my family mean so much to me and we always have such a fun time together!!

Day 27 = A picture of me and a family member
I love these two! Lissa and I have an ongoing battle of the favorite aunt with Mr.Sam here. We decided we tie :)

Day 28 = A picture of something I'm afraid of..
Okay- I am totally afraid of drowning! I know that's weird because i'm a lifeguard and all, but I think that is why I am afraid of it. I see how dangerous and scary water can be and it just freaks me out!!

Day 29 = A picture that can always make me smile

Day 30 = A picture of someone I miss
With all the excitement and craziness of being in college, and being engaged I miss her more than I probably ever have. It breaks my heart not being able to share all of the great and wonderful things going on and also the tough stressful moments in life. Sorry for my soapbox moment!

Day 31 = A picture of me!
In the spirit of it almost being summer and time to head back to the pool here is me last summer!! Yikes - I am a little red!!

Woohoo!!! It is finished! Sorry it took me so long to get on the ball, but I'm all done now and hopefully it provided you with some entertainment!

Day 19 - Day 25

Day 19 = a picture and a letter....
"L"
"L" is my letter because it is the start of many great words such as love, life, live, laugh, and learn.

Day 20 = A picture of somehwere i'd love to travel...
One day I will get to travel Greece. One day!

Day 21 = A picture of something I wish I could forget. Well I'm actually not going to put a picture, because as much as I have made mistakes in my life that is just part of the deal. We can learn from the past and we can grow and sometimes it's good to remember :)

Day 22 = A picture of something I wish I was better hard..

I took a ballet class this semester and I loved it!! Ballet is such a wonderful thing - I really wish I could be at least somewhat decent at it!!

Day 23 = A picture of my favorite book
I don't really have a favorite book now, but growing up I absolutely loved Nancy Drew. I read the entire series at least 3 times over!!

Day 24 = A picture of something I wish I could change... I'm not going to put a picture for this one either.. There are a lot of things in the world I would love to change, but if anything in the world is going to change we have to start with ourselves first!!

Day 25 = A picture of my day
Okay - so this isn't what my day looks like or my office, but I thought it was funny.

Alright! Only 5 more to go!!!  I'm going to finish - I promise!
